Handmade (?) and delightful describes this set of doll furniture. Sofa, 2 armchairs, round table and chair and one stately “big” chair.
The sticker on the bottom of the sofa is labeled “Mrs. Calvert Cottrell”. I’ve owned this for “many” years and just noticed this when taking pictures. This set was purchased for me by my grandmother at a church auction in Monson, MA. I have no facts about “Mrs. Calvert Cottrell”, but the furniture could or could not be affiliated with C.B. Cottrell & Sons from Rhode Island.
It was interesting research anyway.
The sofa’s material is in very good condition with matching pillows; the green chair has some staining throughout; the large wooden chair has a split in the wooden seat. This set is not pristine by any means, each piece shows signs of age and play. Ideal for collectors who appreciate what I believe to be handmade craftsmanship from years ago.
